Mark Making Den

Encourage creativity, communication and early mark making with our versatile Mark Making Den  – a multipurpose outdoor shelter designed to inspire children to draw, write, paint and explore through play. With a range of mark-making surfaces and resources, this engaging space allows children to express their ideas freely, whether playing independently or alongside their friends.

The Mark Making Den combines practical features with opportunities for open-ended learning. Children can experiment with chalk, pencils, crayons and paint, while themed displays, signs and paper provide inspiration for their creations. Ideal for nurseries, schools and outdoor learning environments, this flexible shelter can be adapted to support a variety of activities, interests and learning experiences.

With a full-size chalkboard, clear Perspex windows suitable for painting, a magnetic-backed paper roll holder and dedicated storage for mark-making resources, everything is designed to encourage exploration and independence. Two movable benches offer additional flexibility, allowing children to sit, stand or incorporate the benches into their imaginative play.

The den can also be decorated around a particular theme or topic, helping to spark curiosity and extend children's play. Add paper, clipboards, chalks, crayons and other creative resources to create an inviting mark-making environment that children will enjoy returning to time and time again.
